- SEATTLE -- iLike.com, a new social music discovery service, has secured funding from Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing company and an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (Nasdaq: IACI). Ticketmaster has invested $13.3 million in iLike.com and signed a commercial agreement that will enable iLike to extend its reach while enabling Ticketmaster to engage consumers with deeply-integrated music and event discovery services intended to drive ticket sales. Other terms of agreement were not disclosed.
Via its website (www.iLike.com) and optional add-ons for iTunes and MySpace, iLike enables consumers to discover new music through personalized recommendations and by following what new music their friends are listening to. Ticketmaster’s investment in iLike reflects the ticketing company’s ongoing commitment to bringing artists and fans closer together. The companies will work closely to integrate event-ticketing opportunities with the online music experience.

Ticketmaster will take a 25% stake in iLike.com. Previous private investors in the Company include Khosla Ventures and Bob Pittman.
